Really noticed the price hike in Tesco last weekend, which was the first time we'd done a big shop for a while.
I'm another convert to Sainsburys although Morrisons usually have decent BOGOFs too.
Doubt I'll be back to Tesco for a while as I don't even seem to be earning as many points since they started sending out more of the money off coupons instead of extra points.

It isn`t just actual prices but they are sneaky with amounts ie long life double cream is now 9 oz and last time I bought it was 10

We stopped shopping in Tesco because of their rubbish customer services and the cheap rubbish chickens.
I'm loving Sainburys at the moment- cheapest supermarket for the food that we get, and Co-op for chicken - the cheapest freedom foods chicken of any supermarket.

how can a chicken be cheap and rubbish?

chicken is chicken - the cheaper the better.

Wonder why so many people love to knock Tesco. I think they're very reasonable and cheaper than Waitrose,Sainburys & M&S. Never shop at Asda so can't comment, Morrisons are good but still prefer the choice & bargains at Tesco. If you're not happy with Tesco, don't shop there.

    hardly...

In these times we need cheaper food than ever.

Most people couldnt care less about animals conditions before they eat them. Cost is the key criterion.

TBH I find that (when comparing prices on mysupermarket), 9 times out of 10 Tesco would be cheaper for the kind of shopping basket I'd be after. Maybe not individual items but overall, yes.

Petrol however, no. Double clubcard points maybe but they're consistently 1p/L more than others (even Shell) since that offer started and are definitely the very first to increase prices when they go up. Wish they'd go back to single clubcard points and keep the pump price lower, tbh. (first person to say "supermarket fuel is rubbish" can go die - its the same)

I hate shopping at Tesco for regular food shopping. I occasionally pop into the Tesco Express on the way to work if I forget to make lunch.

I'm also a Sainsburys person now. It's quality food for a decent price, plus Nectar points :D
