I had an atricle on ebay to sell and due to problems in the past I stipulated in the advert that I will only post to UK due to previos problems unless the bidder contacts me first.
Lo and behold the winning bid is from germany and did nt contact me. I have just sent him/her a nice email through ebay stating that I am really sorry but die to problems i will only post to uk.
Then I wondered if i can do this? Can I just then give it as a second chance offer? I hate being mean and i know its not just outside of Uk that folks have problems but I would rather keep things simple and just post to only uk.

For future reference set your seller preferences correctly and they can't bid:
Start from here to set buyer requirements to exclude overseas bidders or bidders with NPB strikes etc.
http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences
The problem with going to a SCO is that the original transaction cannot be cancelled so you could end up with two sets of FVfs and two winners. Best to try and sort it out with the original buyer first, maybe grovel a bit and see if they'l go for a mutual cancelation to recover your FVFs.
Don't forget as well that the German buyer can still leave you feedback, so definitely grovel a bit.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Smart but Casual wishes to educate us all into the joys of selling overseas. It doesn't suit everyone and even Smart admitted earlier he had issues with claims for non receipt until he started sending everything tracked. If you're not comfortable selling overseas then don't, however Smart is correct in that there is a huge market out there that just love all things British.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've had more issues selling to the UK than I have overseas and everything sold on Ebay goes either SFR or SD domestically.
With the €/£ as it is business is booming.
