    No.

It's an attempt to get money out of you.

    Ignore it.

(If it does actually happen, what are you going to be able to do to stop it anyway?)
  • Thats what i was thinking... it just worries the hell out of me, becuase it says stuff about the banks which i dont know all the details about, but you hear key things about the nationalisation and they play on that...

Whatever does happen, I think some investment measures are always prudent:
    • Exposure to international equities so that you're not overly reliant on the performance of your domestic economy.
    • Exposure to international bonds in case your domestic currency does weaken further.
    • Exposure to commodities and precious metals in case inflation increases even further.

    Hello, dylanlewis,
Just wondering if this link is real ? It scares the hell out of me this stuff. Should i take notice of it?

I read Bill Bonner's ( he writes for Fleet Street ) book " Financial Reckoning Day " some years ago - it made a lot of sense and was not as sensational as the ads for the FSL, though it made many of the same points. IMO the general gist of what they say is correct and anyone who followed their ( free ) advice 6 or 7 years ago ( " buy gold and shares in oil companies, hold cash, avoid property " IIRC - that advice doesn't seem to have changed! ) would have done reasonably well but you don't need to sign up to the tipsheet - the website has a lot of free content. As a matter of fact I would ignore the tipsheet entirely as I get the impression that they tip a lot of small cap, illiquid shares ( can't substantiate this as I've never subscribed ).

I do find the style of the ads rather grating but they've been like that for as long as I can remember!
