Re-registering an inherited car

My wife has basically inherited her recently deceased, Mother's car. We're just wondering how to transfer ownership, as the V5 requires two signatures?
Is there a special form to complete for this purpose, as it can't be so unusual a request?
By the way, this is in Northern Ireland, but the process/forms I'm sure would be pretty much identical as the UK mainland.
Thanks.

Found this for you on direct gov :
Keeping the vehicle - registration document or certificate available
You will need to complete the new keeper details in section B of the V5 or section six of the V5C. The new keeper should sign and date the new keeper declaration. Do not sign the registered keeper declaration. The V5 or V5C should be returned to DVLA with a covering letter explaining the circumstances and your relationship to the deceased person. The new keeper should retain the green V5/2 or V5C/2 new keepers supplement. The letter and documents should be sent to CR Team, DVLA, Swansea SA6 7JL. The DVLA will aim to deliver a new registration certificate to the new keeper within four weeks of receipt.

I thought the executor signed it, to ensure it went to whom it was left to. Guess it's one rule for us, one rule for the government again.0

Anyone can sign it. Sigh it as mikey mouse and it wont matter.0

I sold a Scooter in 2007 and got the buyer to fill out the new keeper details on the V5C but he didn't/forgot to sign it. I still sent it off to the DVLA. It still went through OK.

fill in the v5 (log book) with new keeper details, send a covering letter and copy of death certificate and it should be fineSealed pot challenger # 10

Thanks all. My wife phoned the main office, and as a couple of you suggested, they requested the relevant parts of the V5C(NI) be completed, and forwarded with covering letter. They said a death certificate wasn't required, but she's sending a copy just in case.0
