Any ideas appreciated!

After a rotten fortnight for sales on E-bay, I decided to try one of my lines with free postage. Obviously I built in postage costs to the Buy-it-Now price. I do sell to Europe and asked bidders to countries other than UK to ask about postage charges. However, I have had a sale to Spain today with the buyer having been allowed to pay. The E-bay order states 2nd class postage which was free! Now I cant post 2nd class to Spain but I'm a little confused as to how this buyer managed to pay when postage stated was UK only. Normally the E-bay invoice comes up with either UK or Europe postage dependant on the address. I've obviously missed something! I have changed all the other items for sale to a specific cost for Europe now so hopefully it wont happen again, but any ideas as to how this one got through?

It was because there wasn't a specific cost for non UK, so the invoice picked up the only post and packing it had. Just refund and explain the European postage is an additional xxx, and then resubmit the invoice.

I assume the auction made it clear that the free postage was for UK only? I tend to over emphasise it when i have free postage listings up, but I also do show all the supplements for non UK buyers.

Sorry, I should have been a bit clearer. I intend to send the item and pay the extra postage myself this time as I have obviously not got it quite right!!! However, I am ammending my other listings so it doesnt happen again. I take your point about over-emphasising free postage for UK only so will add additional text to the listing. Its the first time I have tried free postage so its all new to me!
