Was interested to receive details by post of a new Member Loyalty Saver account with Leeds Building Society yesterday, paying 5.50% gross. You need to be an existing member and at 31/12/2005. Details at http://www.leeds-holbeck.co.uk/savings/member_loyalty_saver.html

Nice one Jen.
Membership of mutual building societies can throw up good value like this from time to time.
The Nationwide bonds (for 3 year members) are not as good as they were, but they are still OK.
West Brom are another than regularly offer deals for existing members.
And Cheshire.

Not sure this is such a great deal. The 5.5% is boosted by a 1.25% bonus until the end of 2006. After that the interest rate is only 4.25%. I'm sure accounts at ING etc are much better value.
