My OH has a CC with about £2k on it. We shift every 6/9 mths to a new 0% card. Trouble is, we now seem to be starting to run out of options, as we've been with alot of providers. Once an account is closed, can another be opened later, as if you were a brand new customer (even though you are, IYSWIM) or are you only eligible for these special rates once?

Thanks!

Yes you can do that. Normally there is a 6 -12month period with the card companies before they will consider you as a new customer and allow you to rejoin.

It varies, depending on the provider. For example...

Capital One - you can re-apply more or less straight away.
Mint - I believe the wait is 8 months
Nationwide - never! Once you've had a particular offer, you are excluded from having the same offer again

Also barclaycard and cooperative bank cards can be re-applied for after a few months, having done so my self and the co-op raised my initial limit from £3000 to £7500 (I asked for £6000)
