Can I Ditch Sky?

Cheers Ali. I received a letter from them yesterday saying that they've cancelled the contract and have waived the fee for the equipment. No sign of a refund so I feel another letter's in order!
Today I received a second letter telling me they were going to charge me £60.00 for the equipment if I didn't continue to pay for the next 6 months! Bwahhhh! Yeah, as if! It's from a differen't department, so yet another case of left hand not knowing what right hand's doing.
I'll post back when (if!) I get a reply to my next letter.0 -
Good Luck with this. Sky customer service are known not to give any service unless they get money out of it.
Once your contract is cancalled be prepared for cold calls from them every month asking why you left. They seem to miss these bits out on your 'file'.Never buy a stupid dwarf -
Its not big and its not clever.0 -
Whilst we are discussing Sky - I cancelled the subscription in April as I was moving home and had no intention of paying over the odds for their service.
I paid all monies owed and cancelled the direct debit. Thank goodness I did, as they sent a lovely letter today advising me that I had cancelled my direct debit, that they would invoice me monthly (for which there would be a £4 charge each month) and would I like to re-instate the DD?
Needless to say I called them, the guy I spoke to confimed the account is in order (and closed) and said that he gets at least one call a day about this.
What a shower of !!!!e! :mad:0 -
Oh yes, I can well believe it!
Well, I sent another letter last week, but to no avail. They've consented to refund my £15.00 for May, but say that they knew nothing about the situation until May, so won't refund the rest of the money. Again, they're refusing to acknowladge the fact that I phoned them the day after installation and wrote to them in January about thier awful service.
Come to bit of an en pass now as I'm not sure what else to chuck at them...0
