any problens with npower?

I am looking to change electricity supplier and npower is coming up as by far the cheapest for my area. It also has the worst star rating. is this a problem?

    Ok folks have found threads with bad reports about them so think I will give them a miss

    What you have to remember is that if you look for them, you can find bad reports on every single supplier. Where would that leave you?! :D
  • Npower conned my wife into signing an agreement, the salesman said if she signed this paper she would no longer be bothered by people trying to sell her things on the door anymore.
    She read the agreement and signed it, under the agreement was a contract for Npower, I got my gas account back and they got it back again, it was going backwards and forwards for about six months.
    Do not trust Npower.

    Npower have just put up their prices (or are going to very shortly).

    I would wait until everyone has done it then you can get a fair comparison.

    I have found Npower to be absolutely useless it took over a year to sort out a billing mess and that was only after getting energywatch involved.Also when you call them you are paying for the call via a 0845 number to let them play greensleeves to you in some cases for over half an hour. :mad:
    At least now when i have to phone powergen the call is free so it doesnt matter how long the call takes as they are paying :T

    I am STILL in the middle of a dispute with Npower and wouldn't recomment them to my worst enemy...however....NEVER phone them on o845 numbers, whatever dept you are after just phone 0800551555 and get them to transfer you....they can do this to every dept I've tried!!

    just got my gas bill from npower and there are 3 price increases on it in last 3 months. I'm looking into swapping to someone else.

    I changed to Npower in December 2005. I use economy 7 and they have changed my night reading to day and vice versa (obviously making my bills monstrously large). I have rang and complained many times and all they say is the readings they have are correct. I have energywatch dealing with this now as it's made me really ill. As soon as this mess is sorted I will be changing suppliers.

    We're in the middle of a dispute with Npower too. I dont want to bore you with details, but I've been passed from one department to another, being told so many different lies, I have Energywatch helping me now.
