If it's packed properly their should be no problem.
If you are sending Whisky then hopefully it came in a display box or tube. You just need to stick it in a sturdy postal box with enough packing to keep is save.

I would send it Royal Mail Special Delivery. Arrives next day, but is fully insured. Bit pricey but you will have comeback as long as you package correctly. There should be details regarding sending glass on RM's website.0

As long as it is not greater than 70% ABV. Most couriers I have come across won't send glass. Royal mail and Parcelforce do.0

I got a bottle off ebay last week. It was in a big jiffy bag, then wrapped in bubble wrap, and then put into a box.
It was sent royal mail recorded. It arrived absolutely fine.0 -
Be on safe side..ask uncle if there is a off licence near him and see if you can get vouchers from a branch near you! I dont drink alcohol(its all yukky) but im sure threshers or similar would do this for you.TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

I've used this lot a couple of times in the past:

They have a gift service (gift wrap / message etc) so it becomes their problem to post not yoursThey have a great selection too. As a Scot I wouldn't dream of insulting you with a recommendation

I work for a parcel courier company and have lost count of number of smashed bottles received.
If you are sending bottles please ensure they are well packed.0 -
The Famous Grouse website lets you personalise a label and then send the personalised bottle direct (if you wish) to the recipient.
I've used it a few times for pressies and the bottles are always packed really well - inside a metal presentation tube then in a cardboard box.
Hope this is of use to someone!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Parcel Force do NOT cover you for glass - I found this out the hard way!0
