iPod - I've uploaded audio CD's but they've gone into Music

I've uploaded about 15 audio CD's but they have filed themselves into Music on iTunes. Is there anyway I can put them into Audio books??

Also, what's the purpose of Playlists, as I tried putting them together into a playlist, but they don't appear on my iPod as that playlist?

Right mouse click the track you want to transfer over to audiobook, then click "Get Info". Click the "Options" tab then go down to where it says "Media Kind". You can then choose if you want it as music or audiobook.

I'm so grateful Spike, what good start to the day to have that sorted!
  • Wow thanks!

I didn't think it was possible! I've struggled with that problem for years!

    Thanks again!

It wasn't possible until iTunes 7 I think; before that you had to change the file extension of the tracks to m4b and re-import them.

It was a bit of a faff.
  • Ah that explains it! I know I had searched extensively in the past with no joy.
