I managed to get as far as browsing all the special offers without succumbing to temptation, thank goodness - I planned out all the things I need in the next month and am already looking at a beans on toast type scenario just to make the books balance and that's BEFORE I start trying to save up for a beautiful pair of shoes I've seen in Hobbs...

About candles: I'm sure you candle junkies already know this, but TK Maxx is brilliant for luxury candles. £25 Pecksniff's ones down to £7, that sort of thing.

Well I survived without buying anything (a first for me). Do you remember the days when a beauty TSV sold out by lunch. Guess we are all considering our purchases much more. However, to celebrate my restraint I treated myself to a new skirt!!!!

I was surprised too that it didn't sell out...I remember the last TSV with Philosophy didn't even last till 1am!!

I went on the yankee doodle website (oh dear:o) and they had a great offer of 4 large jars plus 4 reeds - which I think are fabby, much better than a bog standard air freshener or plug in - for £70 (god, sounds alot when you say it like that!!!)

Naturally I resisted......NOT!!!!!

Got some fabby new candles and also some tarts.

Right that's it - NO MORE spending for me:o:eek:

Hey ladies I am so sorry I have not posted I was at Wembely all day, a very happy girl!
I did not buy anything at all I cannot believe it it is a first for me!
I want to buy the scrub to treat myself for being sooo good. I have it all on sky+ though so I will be viewing it soon, god I am sad so excited about watching it!

I used to be hugely addicted to qvc and ended up with boxes and shelves full of `bargains`. My house became a qvc home. Then we decided to downsizeand I sold a lot of stuff on ebay and of course lost a lot of money. So no more, no way. They have the knack of sucking you in, even when you are strong willed and yesterday I watched 5 minutes and almost bought ultrasun. I switched off prtty darn fast and went online and found ultrasun at a far far cheaper price

I am also getting through my liz earle stuff at a pretty slow pace but I do like it. However, I won`t be getting any more

I used to have the qvc tsv as my homepage, pathetic really

Its hard isnt it cos like you say you do get sucked in and though the products are good some are not as good as suggested

Well all my QVC goodies arrived today:j am v pleased! I ADORE the Amazing Grace stuff. I took a chance ordering perfumed stuff off the telly as well, you can't smell it before can you?!! I know you can send stuff back to QVC but all seems like a bit faffing around and to be honest I know I wouldn't bother.......but am loving it! Very me - nice and fresh but with a delicate flowery smell (delicate - christ, I'm 6' tall!!!)

Not keen at all on the Inner Grace which came with the TSV bit musky for me and smells like something a Nana would wear!! It'll do for a spray before I go to bed I suppose...:A

My Yankee Candles also came (yes, I had alot of gentleman callers today!!! Just as well I was off waiting on a delivery!!).
Made a bit of a faux pas and I ordered what I thought was Red Apples but it's actually Red Apple Wreath which appears to have a Christmassy type label and certainly smells cinammon. Not overly keen on cinammon smells so I've put it away for Christmas and I may use it when I am full of festive cheer (hard to get Christmassy with the sun scorching!) or I can give it away as a present.:D
