If you are looking for cheap hotels

Hi everyone,
I was speaking with an American pal this week and his was telling me about this site where you sumit an area you want to stay; and a price you are willing to pay. They hotels in that area then come back either accepting or rejecting your offer.

I think the concept works as the hotels try to sell off rooms to increase their occupancy - at bargin prices.

visit the priceline website (i couldn't posted the link as I'm a new member)

It covers cities all over the world.

He's off to the Hilton in London Park Lane for the weekend with his girlfriend for something like £70 a night!

You may find something.

Yes, Priceline has been discussed many times on here already and great bargains can be had.

  • Can anyone help --I have just booked with Priceline and now discover that the hotel -4 star is cockroach infested and generally dirty. This is on Trip Advisor. I had booked this as a surprise for my husband for our 30th wedding anniversary and now its all gone wrong-Any advice?

I have replied to your PM

Basically you cannot cancel the hotel BUT do not panic about the bad reviews.

I do say in my guide to research the area where you are going to bid to see if there's a "bad" hotel that you may want to avoid.
Check the Hotel Reviews from both sites and Trip Advisor to see if there are any dodgy hotels in the area or star rating you may want to avoid.
