Just try this...
Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Internet Options,
Programs Tab, then reset web settings, remove tick from reset my homepage
then Yes and OK.. and give it a whirl.0 -
can i ask one thing.....by resetting web settings, do i lose any info? Or any pages saved on favs etc?0
-
Resetting web settings just resets the options within IE, so fav's won't be lost.0

Restart the computer in Safe Mode (tap the F8 key a few times when it is booting but before the Windows logo appears) and choose Safe Mode with Networking from the menu. Click Yes to the message that eventually appears. Does the problem still occur?0

My Windows Explorer has been doing this for days, but mine's due to drive failure.
Do yourself a favour, ditch IE and get Firefox instead. Bet that solves your problem!

Or Better still go Opera....
But IE is fine with the correct updates and security..

if you go into "Internet Options" on control Panel what does it show for your homepage ??
have you tried disabling Nortons for a second (turn on Windows firewall to protect you) and seeing if it still happens
what other Anti spyware etc pop up blockers are you using ??
have you installed any new software in the last couple of days ?Ex forum ambassador
