my partner is self employed and supports me,and 2 kids ,we also get tax credits to make up the balance .
due to the rcession the business has really taken a turn for the worse and he really wants to close it as he cant see it getting better, would we get any state benefits to tide us over until him or i get another job? we have no savings,we have a mortgage ,so would we get help there?
there is a very strong possibility that he will be made bancrupt as well by hmrc,so would that make any difference?
thanx

You can make a joint claim to JSA. They will issue a form called a B16 to take details of the Self Employment. Your partner will also need to provide accounts and details of his accountant - if he had one.0
