where to find a private rental...

Looking to find a private rental property (in bristol) and i can think of a few sites, is there anywhere else i can look.

Local paper (inc trade it & evening post)
houseladder
national landlords !!!.
magnoliaproperty

can anyone sugest anywhere else?

    it does have a mix of private and agents and works by number of bedrooms by location - there's a few in Bristol, I just looked!
    click on "contact landlord" and you will be able to spot the private LL with a bit of sensible deduction

    It might be worth trying estate agents as well for LL managed properties. Many Landlords use an EA to find a tenant, do checks etc, even though they intend to manage the property themselves. You can always ask if they have any that fit into this category.

    The t'Interweb is all well 'n good but... for Private I'd also look in..

    Local Papers..
    Shop window adverts...
    Estate/Letting agents (they may be just introducing..)
    Word-of-mouth..
    Ask in the Pub/club/trade-union/golf-club-bar/whatever..

    Basically it is a % game.. the more you look in the more places the better your chances...


    LOADS of people don't use 'puters & t'InterWeb.. restricting yourself to websites may not help!

    vivastreet and loot are others. I have no idea how successful or popular they are in Bristol. Also the RLA (Residential Landlords Assocation) have a site for landlords to post on so you could research that also.
