Do you mean kwh rate or the number of kwh used? Both seem high to me if calculated over six months (182 days) averaging 17kwh a day.

We're a family of six - high users but try to be careful. Three bed house on three floors. We averaged 13kwh a day summer and 15kwh a day winter (Oct-Mar).

We're paying 15.6p for first 225kwh a quarter and 8.6p per kwh for the rest, including VAT.

Who are you paying yours with?

Scottish Power for gas and EDF for electricity. I switch once or twice a year.

Can someone give me advice on what they think I should do. Should I leave atlantic and would I have to settle up with Atlantic before leaving them (costing over £200)? Or should I ring them and ask their advice?

Please help as I'm rubbish at this kind of stuff =[

Check Atlantic's site for cheapest tariff (without tie-in) and ring them asking to be moved on to it. Use a comparison site to see how much you could save - use annual use in kwh. Takes weeks rather than days so might as well be on best Atlantic tariff for interim. Will almost certainly have to clear balance for switch to go through.

I am also with Atlantic, have just received my bills.
    Gas 189.00
    Electricity 24.00
i have loads of electric equipment, so I dont understand the low usage , going to have to look deeply into this bill.
Other than that I quite like them as a company, they are usually very obliging and I switch my DD payments to suit me.

Probably not too deeply. Looking at the electricity meter readings, are either the start or finish readings estimated (A) or, are they actual (A) or customer? And, looking at the finish reading, is it roughly the same as the current meter reading?

The serial numbers on your meters should match the numbers on the bill.
