Problem with insurance repair

Just need a bit of advice please. My car was bumped while parked (I was off shopping!). Thankfully the other driver left her details so the claim is going through her insurance and is costing me nothing.
However, I went to collect my car yesterday and noticed immediately that the new wing does not fit properly. When I spoke to the garage they informed me that they had been instructed to fit a generic, non-Peugeot part because it costs about £9 less than the proper Peugeot part.
I wouldn't mind a generic part if it fitted correctly, but there are a couple of points where it is really obvious it does not fit and to me that will send up a warning flag to any prospective buyer when I come to sell the car. I can imagine people saying "Ooh, look it's had a knock, what else might be wrong?" etc. Also, I feel that I should be put back in the position I was in before the accident happened, and clearly now I have a car which is not as good as the one I had before (in terms of not looking quite as good and possible reduced saleability).
We contacted my insurance company (Barclays) while still at the garage and they didn't seem to know what their own procedure was. However, they said they would email someone and we are waiting to hear back. I have tried to ring Barclays today but they are closed at the weekend.
What I want is for them to fit the correct part so my car looks as good as it did before, and I would like advice about how to achieve this please. I am still not sure if I should ring them on Monday or put it in writing?
Sorry for such a long post, I just wanted to explain everything.

Refuse to sign the satisfaction note, and contact whoever authorised the repairs (your post doesn't make it clear) to tell them of the problem. If an immediate solution isn't arranged, then put it in writing.
If the garage cannot do the repairs immediately, and want you to sign something before releasing the car, then mark the form with the unsatisfactory repair, and get a copy from the garage before leaving.0 -
Sorry my post was unclear - I think that's because I'm a little unclear myself about what is happening!!!
I had to accept my car back because the garage told me as far as the insurance were concerned the repair was complete and so the hire car company would then start charging me to keep the courtesy car I had been given. I didn't have to sign a satisfaction note, just a form to say I was taking the car off-site. The garage told me this form is for their records only and doesn't get passed to the insurance company. However, I added a note to the form saying the part does not fit properly and I have raised the issue with the insurance company.
I rang Barclays insurance while still at the garage, and the girl asked to speak to someone from the garage, so I don't really know what was said. I heard the garage end of the conversation where he explained they had fitted the part they were instructed to fit, but the customer was not happy with it. I am not sure who Barclays were going to email. I think it was the chief engineer, but the garage said there was no point because he would just say he's done what he was told and it should be referred back to the insurance company.
There is also confusion because the garage were dealing with Norwich Union, who underwrite the Barclays insurance. But I feel my contract is with Barclays and so it's them I should complain to.0 -
As you now have your car, then put all this in writing to whoever instructed the garage (and is paying their bill), telling them of your complaint. It may help short cut this if you get a report from a Peugeot dealer, together with their quote for remedial work to put your car right, and send it with your complaint letter.0

Who are your Insurers it will say on the Certificate of Insurance?0

Who are your Insurers it will say on the Certificate of Insurance?
On the Certificate of Insutrance, at the top is the Aviva logo and at the bottom it says underwritten by Gresham.
However, I have had no direct dealings with either of these companies, and the Certificate of Insurance was sent to me by Barclays, amongst a bundle of other Barclays documentation. It was Barclays I had to ring to notify them of the accident, and it is Barclays who receive my monthly payment. As far as I am concerned my contract is with Barclays.0
