I am quite keen on the idea of an electric car (not a hybrid) but wonder is someone can point me to an authoritative source which might address the following:
1. How long do the batteries last and what is the cost of replacement?
2. I presume the batteries and hence the range degrade with time. Any information on this?
3. Assuming the car has a heater to what extent does the use of this limit the car's range?

Think it's best to wait before analysing and comparing. Still at early days. Am sure even the manufacturers themselves are still unsure about certain aspects
