One draw back with the Co-op is the on-line account isn't the most up to date. The good news is they are planning to do something about it, according to the person I was talking to while phone banking, but not sure how long that will take.
Iv had a book keeping programe at home for years, money manager is the one I use but im sure if you do a search you can find one for free. I find its brilliant as i know when DDs are coming out, how much i have in each account and on my cashcard, I even know to the 1p how much in my purse. The other good thing about them is as you put in all your receipts you can see how and where your money goes.. easier to cut back! (especially when you see you waste £10pw on sweets!) a good way to manage your finances. I know i work in the accounts field but they are not rocket science honest.0 -
Positive action for the day - filling in my BR forms online (rather than sitting here drinking too much coffee, smoking too many cigs, worrying about it!)

positive action for today...already done

Been and bought Food for the new chickens...packed it all in sealable containers, been to the supermarket and got shopping. Afternoon to be spent down the allotment digging (well i spend more time sat watching the hens tbh)."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

how sad am I? I've just hoovered and polished my car that is being returned to Bank of Scotland on thursday!! The even dafter thing is, it doesn't even go - needs a new engine! But I still have my pride and it can't go back dirty, what would the auction people think! I was going to get out in the garden but it looks like rain. Off to farm shop instead to buy veges in bulk and prepare and freeze them into meal size bags. Really should do some housework but not sure where to start! Can't believe it's payday on Friday and I've still got cash!! That's a first for about 2 or 3 years! Hope everyone has a good day. J.0

Two positives so far......
Taking full advantage of the half price offers at the moment - I bought a pack of sausages for 99p and a crusty french loaf for 39p from Sainsburys and had a whopping sausage sandwich with brown sauce for elevenses!
On the way home i bought a lovely bunch of flowers from a stall in the market, cheap, and that has brightened up my living room and my day.
And the whole weekend off........ hooray!
