PSP reset

Hi our daughters PSp just seemed to pack up.. wont charge up or anything .. Been told there is a way you can do do a reset but havnt got a clue.. anyone help or got any ideas why it just wont seem to charge up..

we have tried another charger and have ordered another battery ( should be here today)

    well, if it isnt the charger (or old battery), it could well be a problem with the charging jack on the console.

    to do a hard reset, you just hold the power switch in the up position for around 10 seconds. after you do this you may find that you have to flick the power switch a few times for the console to switch on (this will only happen for the 1st time you try to power it on after the reset.)

    Take out the battery and put in the power supply and see if it turns on then you will know if its the battery.

    thanks for all your help.. new battery did the trick only cost £2.55 from ebay as well..
