What age were U when Mortgage Free?

Hi

Just reading a few posts and had a thought, "i wonder what was the most common age to be mortgage free?" so i thought i would ask people to post the answer to the following question

"what age were you when you became mortgage free?"

MFW 158 - Wanna be Mortgage free in 2 years (sept 2010)
1st Jan 2008 - Mortgage £30,478.97, Term 6yrs 9m
2008 Total OP = £7,859. Mortgage reduced to £15,938.20, Term Reduced by 3yrs 2m to 3yrs 7m
2009 Total OP = £11,339. Term reduced by 3yrs 7m

    Became mortgage free on my 49th birthday (last year).
  • 27, but then I bought a bigger place so I have a mortgage again.

    Mortgage taken out age 21, due to be paid off at 33 but I'll probably have another one by then anyway I hope
  • I was 36 yrs old and took the mortgage out when I was 27. I put every spare bit of money I had into overpaying it and then reduced the term.

    I have no intention of ever getting another mortgage. I've been blissfully mortgage free for the last 4 years.

    Forgot to mention, I was 33 when I took out my mortgage and as I bought a home rather than just a house, I have no plans to take another mortgage for a long time if ever.
  • 41, ten years after I took the mortgage out. LIke paulina I have no intention of shackling myself to another one…
