Got it in one. Well 9/10.
Before handing that amount of money over do some checks on landlord.
And make sure your deposit is protected

Dont be suprised if many places ask for 6weeks rent as a bond. Most in South Wales seem to.

So as soon as I move in I need to pay for the months rent?

Also what do you guys advise as far as a lease?

Is a hand written lease , and owner and I sign it good?

Rite now I live with my g.f she has no lease. Some parts of the hardwood floor are fallen apart cause its done like garbage. Is that on us.

They know about it and everytime something is broken they never fix it.
Should I paint before I leave?

I have tenants moving in on the 1st May. The rent is £1100 pcm. Thay also have to pay £1100 deposit. I have to have both paid and cleared before they get the keys. No if's or buts. It's in the agreement they signed to.

You might be asked to pay a little more than the equivalent to a months rent as deposit. My LA are charging me the equivalent to a months rent plus £100.

You need to pay one months rent in advance, normally a deposit equivalent to 6 weeks rent and any administration fees from the agent.

Rent is paid in advance every month - you pay at the start of the month for that month.

If the rent was 1000, moving in money is: 1000 + (231x6) + admin fees

    Hope that helps
