how much does it cost a month to stay at the ymca and what other cheap places are there to live like a tent or a shed im just wondering i have somewere to live but if your living in a rented house and you could save £1000+ a month would you stay at the ymca or in a tent or shed for 5 years then you would have 60k saved up and could put that towards buying a house i would do that if i could earn 60,000 in 5 years would you is that a good way to save alot of money

Why don't you go for a house share instead. Where individual rooms are rented out in a normal place of residence. They are usually very cheap.0 -

I used to live near a YMCA. It really wasn't somewhere you'd stay if you had the choice.0

Over my years, as an agent, I have come across I have seen caravans in parents gardens but the most surprising have been innocent looking garages that inside have converted to a studio home to enable the children to save as you want to. Seen this more than once.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0
