my friend has been down to a garage to buy a car which was advertised at £9000 on their website he was given a price of this on a card with the sellers name on but lost it when he decided to buy it the salesman said he made a mistake and the car was £9995 but it is still advertised at £9000 on their website can he ask for this car to be sold at that £9000 or ask for his deposit back surely they are not allowed to do this. any help would be appreciated.

Surely when he handed over his money he got the agreed price in writing?0

Did he agree to buy it at £9995 or £9000?0

you should have got an invoice stating your deposit and balance to pay
unfortunatly you cant make them sell you it at the website price, im sure that you can get your deposit back though, why dont you tell them you want it for £9k or you want your deposit back and youll go somewhere else - they wont like thatSealed pot challenger # 10
