Hi All

I am looking for a company to design me a website.

I have been in contact with several, including Beta Internet who have been rather helpful, some may say too helpful.

How do I know if a company is genuine?

What questions etc shall I ask?

Has anyone had any dealings with this company?

What is your website for? eg is it a shop where people can buy and pay from it etc

First you must look at their portfolio and see what their past work has been like, maybe contact their clients to see what kind of service they received from the design company.

I couldn't find Beta Internet's portfolio on their site so that automatically screams AVOID

It's for a friend - musician.

I do my own, Beta Internet are only doing shop designs from that portfolio, which means taking someone else's software (OSCommerce) and placing their own facia over the top of it. And they all look very similar
