I hide biscuts and other snacks in saucepans and in hall cupboard otherwise all gone within a couple of days!! Has saved me loads

If I did this I'd just eat the lot myself (but no-one would ever know how greedy I was, lol!).

I have to do the same...only I put in bags in wardrobe..usually crisps and biscuits. If I didn't they would be gone they same day. Then as if by magic I produce some goodies during the week to tide them by.

ps These are not young children but adult children I have to hide them from. :rotfl:

  • hi,
Do you have a set budget per week/month? as we may be able to make some better suggestions then. as what is considered low for some. may be high for others!
Realistically the best way of reducing your shopping bill is to meal plan for every meal and eat vegetarian a few meals a week!
Can you give us a list of things that the family do like to eat, and then maybe we can suggest some different recipes.
