Hi,

I am looking to relocate and want to find out about the area I will potentially be moving to! Things like amenities, crime, transport links etc. Are there any websites that give you this info and the average price of properties?

    Try this site:

    http://www.upmystreet.com/

Scroll to bottom of that page. Everything you need there.

And you can ask here too; if anyone knows the area you'll be inundated with info!

Zoopla will tell you actual prices paid for properties in your target area, as well as providing estimates of what they should sell for - but as these are calculated by their software, they seem to be ... less than accurate, in a number of cases that people have cited here.

    yell.com for businesses
qype for reviews of the above businesses

google for anything and everything. Seriously. Want to know about crime figures? Put crime+town into google. Same applies to anything else -
    sports centre+town, pub+town, dentist+town, medical centre+town, NHS+town, etc etc

Can I just thank you for this link. :)
I found it very interesting. It shows our area as 300 on the most deprived, with 32,xxx beind the least deprived that is really something. We looked at an area we have been to and really like and it is a very good area. Its got very good ratings and good school report there 54.70% I think it was for A*-C GCSE's. Ah, to be able to afford to move hehe.
