Equifax Credit Watch Online

I have been a customer of Equifax Online Credit Watch Gold Service @ £7.50 a month for quite a while now. My billing date is 16th Month. I called on 6th to cancel the service and was on hold for 40 minutes before giving up. Called again on 9th, on hold for 30 minutes before giving up, again on the 15th and again today again after 30 minutes, I give up.
In total I've spent 2 hours trying to get through and logged 3 online queries since the 6th but none of them have been answered. A letter has gone off today to the Customer Relations Director.
What on earth is going on?! Anyone else had any problems with getting through to Equifax Online Customer Services?

Hi,
Why not just cancel your direct debit, you'll find they will soon send out a letter asking you to re instate it. you could at least then send in a reply stating that you had tried to cancel the service but was kept on hold for a ridiculous amount of time so gave up... hope this helps.

I have recently found when trying to cancel my mobile phone contract that there was nobody sitting by the cancel phone and I spent almost an hor tyrying to get hold of someone. So instead I called them back pretending to want to upgrade my contract. I got through within seconds and boy was the girl happy to hear I was in fact cancelling my contract and putting in a complaint about the whole situation hehe0

You can always by pass this by selecting the wrong option.i.e. they are not eager to pick up cancel calls but quick to pick sales or new biz calls.0

It's not paid by Direct Debit, it charged to my Visa Debit Card...There is no options to press on Equifax you are just sat in the queue waiting, anyways the letter is on it's way to the Customer Relations Director0 -
accidently snap/lose your bank card
new card will have different details0 -
Well after much too-ing and fro-ing with Equifax I have had the £7.50 refunded for the month's subscription I didn't want. However they said they felt no further action was necessary i.e. refunds/compensation.
So I said I wasn't happy and asked for their complaints escalation process and was sent a reply to advise that a gesture of goodwill payment had been refunded to my card also.0 -
I am on the phone to them right now. The free credit report is clearly a scam. Martin needs to look into this. There is no option to cancel via the number they give you. I tried various routes and kept getting hung up on. Now I did get through by asking for something I don't want (a sale for them) and I am on hold for 40 minutes and going.... the same happened yesterday. In the end I gave up as it was 5.15 and they close at 5... and I had been on since 4.35....

I must have been lucky, I phoned on the 23 March to cancel.
Call began at 10:30, it was answered at 10:41 and all sorted by 10:45.
Only 15 minutes :j
Maybe the initial free offer was so popular there are now a huge queue of people waiting to cancel before the end of the tria period!0 -
I'm having similar problems getting through to them. have been on hold for over 30 mins with no answer.0
