BT Rental Phone

Hi
I have had a look at my nans BT bill as it seems high and she hardly uses it. About 15yrs ago she rented a phone from BT and is still paying for this! She could have brought a million phones by now. The phone broke and she just threw it away so she is worried that she would have to return it to BT but surly they wouldn’t want a phone that was over 15yrs old. Is there anything she can do?

Just phone BT, tell them that she doesn't wish to rent a phone from them any longer.
I'm almost 100% certain that they're not going to ask for the phone back. If they do, tell them the truth - that it developed a fault and was thrown away. I'm sure they'll understand. They know that phones go wrong, and they're not going to want a fifteen-year-old unit back, even if it's working.

BT do ask for the phone back . And they send a jiffy bag for you to return it . But as you know there things get lost in the post"Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0
