I have a four weekly budget of £300 for two adults a 14,12,and almost 10 year old. This includes all food ,toiletries and also cleaning products, eating out and alcohol.
I keep every reciept and add up every penny.
I buy nothing processed at all just meats ,veg, flours, butters etc.
My budget 9 months ago was £600 before i found the grocery challenges.

Oh forgot to say we eat out at least once a month on this amount,we could lower it by another £100,(approx) by not drinking or eating out.I also still buy chocolate for cooking cakes and buscuits etc which isn t overly healthy.

My grocery budget is currently £240 per month. I'm a single bloke, and I'm aware I could reduce this budget. I'm learning the art of cooking from scratch and finding the various boards on this site very useful.

My goal is to get my supermarket spend to, say £200 per month (to include toileteries and cleaning stuff) within the next 3 mths, and cook good, healthy food. Got a couple of decent cookery books recently to help me.
If you will the end, you must will the means.

Rough estimate for myself only, and none of my partner/girlfriends in our household (as they spend silly amounts...) I reckon I spend £25 p/w on myself (no houshold items)

I just tend to buy basics and offers that last me into the next few weeks etc. No booze or cigarettes as they are banned in our house.

If the girls could use my sense, they'd not have to borrow from me!

Just 1, in that way. (italics on the 'that')

Plus her sister, her friend and so on. 8 women, 1 me.

It sounds like fun, but when the makeup talk starts, it's time for me to make the cups of tea ;)
