Pay Pal wont let me pay! - RESOLVED

Hiya all,

I bought an item on ebay today, and I went to pay for it just now, but for some reason pay pal is telling me there is a problem!

It wants to take out £9.00 from my pay pal balance ( all thats in it ) and £3 from my debit card, which is fine, but for some reason it keeps saying its rejected!

I phoned my bank and theres nothing wrong with my card, and I have more than enough money in there for the full amount let alone the £3!

Can anyone tell me how to get paypal to pay it all from my card rather than two different places as I think this might then work!

Thanks

Sammie x

Sammie- are you sure its trying to take it from your debit card? have you ever registered any other cards on paypal? sometimes it can select a card that is no longer working/out of date insted of the card you think your paying by. Check not just the last 4 digits of the card, but the expirly date and etc- you will need to go into paypal to do this.

Also, is this the first time you have tried to use paypal or the card? they sent a payment or debit to your card which you have to confirm with paypal before you use it in some cases.

Or try again later. It could be a glitch.

I would also check with paypal, its long-winded and may take days for an answer, but its better then nothing!

Pay your balance to a friend and set it to £0
    Make the payment
    Get friend to refund you

If transaction still fails, it must be a card problem.

It's been very glitchy recently, I fear the traffic through it is beginning to overload the system.
