Help - Wedding Saving, Best Place & easy too

Could any one give me some advice - we are saving up to get married next july and already have £1800 in my daughters abbey passbook account (havnt got a clue how much interest we get) we save about £500 a month - but may need to get the money out quickly - we never had savings before and dont know much about it!!!!!

The best instant access savings / current accounts at the moment seem to be Alliance and Leicester online saver 5.15% ICICI similar and Coventry Building Society 5.1%. Have a look at Martins article on savings
