I bought a 3 dongle with 3 months/3gig usage when they came out last year. Coukd get signal at home, sometimes, but out and about it was rubbish. Eventually gave up on it.
Just before Christmas I bought a Vodafone payg dongle. £39 from Vodafone.co.uk and £15 back via Quidco. Includes 1Gig of usage with no time limit. Great signal. Take it everywhere with me. Still on my 1st £15 worth - ie what came with it.0 -
To add ....
I've just had an on-line chat with three CS, (and after my persistant enquiries), they've confirmed there are no arrangements for partnering with any of the other UK networks for data. Unfortunatly this means when you're out of the three area - no serrvice.
Tell me about it! I live in a place that had mobile phone masts on the roof (they have been moved now due to public protests over the years) but even when they were up, I got no mobile phone signal in my home- the mobile phone masts were for Orange.
Personally? 3 are useless with thier customer service, its all call centers in India where they do not understand even the basic customer rights-and have heavy heavy accents, unlike Indian people in the UK who generally speak good clear English, the people I repeatedly call up, do not. The number to call is also one where you get charged. Its free with a 3 phone but then you only get about 20 minutes or so a month to call them for free, after which it is charged. And I always seem to end up on hold for atleast 10 minutes.
I would rather have no service then go back to 3, I end my mobile phone contract later this year, and as a result of this would not recommend their mobile-broadband service, someone correct me if I am wrong here, but its not a service I would personally recommend.0
