Hi MSE's :hello:

Just spotted a MASSIVE 15 GB mobile broadband for £15 every month at network 3 + Free Dongle + Quidco + an extra 25% off for network 3 existing customers (mobile and broadband) + a free £10 accessory voucher :j

http://threestore.three.co.uk/broadband/modem.aspx?tariffid=1156&mixnmatch=0&id=1201

To get the voucher you must talk to an advisor by clicking the chat box on the top right

One last thing is the dongles they have on offer have a memory card reader built in on them so that's rather handy

Enjoy

    Is there a catch?

How can you take out money from quidco?

They pay you by BACS or PayPal whenever you reach a trigger point that you choose - in my case £25.
Thanks to all who post constructively.

A good deal - although be careful with regards to 3 broadband reception....

If you are not in a 3 coverage area won't get service any on your 3 mobile broadband service. Currently there is no partnering service with any of the other networks for moble broadband, unlike their voice services - who they partner with Orange for (was O2). With the other networks (Vodaphone, O2, Tmobile and Orange), if you're out of their 3G coverage area you'll default to GPRS service.

Orange have a £90 Quidco cashback offer on an 18 month, 3GB per month package - works out at just under £10 per month - not as good as the 3 deal, but if you traveling and need to ensure you've more chance of mobile broadband siginal it might be worth considering.

Yes it's a TWO YEAR contract.

Can you member what the price of mobile broadband was two years ago. Fancy predicting what the price will be in two year's time, because I bet it is nowhere near £15 for 15GB.

I thought Three had the best 3g signal?
There has been complaints about all the networks broadband signal... I hadn't heard it was just Three.

Here's the checker site for signal coverage and strength:

Just my humble experiences of Mobile B/Band ....

I've tried 3 mobile b/band, T-mobile and currently use Vodaphone, I’ve clients who have the other services.... from my prospective, I travel regularly and to differing parts of the UK, some city centre and other rather more remote locations ..... I've also heard mention somewhere about their "proposed" partnering with t-mobile for data, but at the moment :- (IMHO – from my experience) ....

    - 3 offers fantastic speed within their coverage areas - but when there's no 3g there's no service – for anyone who travels or is on the edge of their service area” – it’s no good.

    - O2, Vodaphone, T-mobile and Orange, all offer good service and coverage, if their 3G's not available you'll default to their slower GPRS service (ie. where you would be able to make a basic voice phone call) - not fast - but ok for the odd email - great for ensuring you have some type of service throughout the UK.

    - When comparing, obviously consider coverage (but only take the respective coverage checkers information as guidance only), I’ve found consistently these are not accurate - mobile data can be far more problematic than for phone calls, for data - you'll need a service indicated as being "good" or better (i.e. "poor"/"outside" will not reliably work for data on any of the networks).

    - O2 and T mobile also give Wi-Fi hot-spot access as part of many of their mobile b/band packages, this is great if you spend most of your time in Starbucks etc or motorway service areas, so don’t need to worry so much about getting your USB modem out, connecting it. You’ll also find the “power drain” on your laptop for wi-fi is less than that of the USB modem. If you travel overseas and want to use mobile B/Band, “three” is free in selected countries (check out their website), all the others charge huge sums for roaming/mobile (be warned)!

    - Monthly usage allowance, all charge heavy penalties if you go over your monthly "allowance", the only packages that don't (that I can currently find) are a business package from Vodaphone called "never pay more than", and "t-mobile" effectively has a fair use policy on some packages, they warn you if you go over the allowance, but for occasional offenders they don't charge.

    To add ....

I've just had an on-line chat with three CS, (and after my persistant enquiries), they've confirmed there are no arrangements for partnering with any of the other UK networks for data. Unfortunatly this means when you're out of the three area - no serrvice.
  • My "3" dongle will latch onto a 2G GPRS network when it needs to... I think it's O2. Might be Orange.
