Outside socket, et al

Can someone tell me if £100 is ok to do the following.
Putting in an outside socket. He will supply approx 2 metres of cable and channel the cable into the wall. I am supplying the weatherproof socket.
and
Replace washer on kitchen tap
and
replace something (forgot what it was) on toilet cistern (toilet is taking 4 minutes to fill up after flushing)
and
replace plastic bracket in outside guttering (as it leaks).
This person admits that he does not have any electrical papers but can do electrical work. His speciality is structural work. How would I stand with allowing him to fit the socket.
Thanks.

It'll be illegal, in so much as it will not comply with regulations.
However, if you want someone with all the relevant bits of paper to do the socket, you're looking at £100 for that alone, minimum.
You pay your money, you take your choice.0 -
Thanks Alan. I was beginning to get a bit dubious with all the new regulations.
I will look around for a qualified electrician. One other thing - should I get a certificate (or sort) from the qualified electrician to say the job is up to spec.0 -
Yes, you should be supplied with the relevant paperwork for the installation, which of course will be another small cost.0

Thank you. I've got a qualified electrician coming on Wednesday. Thanks for your advice.0
