dwarf fruit trees

Hello, just to add one more opinion to the rest, I bought my 2 dwarf apples and 1 pear from JParker at the beginning of 2007.
Unfortunately, being new on here I can't post a link, but it was the Supersaver 3 Midget Fruit Tree Collection, still available now.
They were small when I got them and spent the first summer establishing. Last year, I got quite a few flowers on the apple trees (none on the pear tree), but only one apple grew (a very tasty one!). Not sure if it was something I did wrong or just because they were young.
This year, they all have lots of leaves, lots of flowers and look very healthy-I'm hopeful! So it's not going to happen overnight with these, but I think it's worth the wait!
I hope that adds to the wealth of knowledge you seem to be accumulating on this thread! Good luck! :-)0 -
I splashed out and bought some from KenMuir, 1 a year each birthday. I now have 6 all apples and to be honest I think you get what you pay for with these sort of trees.
I've had the cheaper sort from the garden centres and Parkers and they've not set fruit nearly as well.
I have a Gala,a cooker (lord derby),2 braeburns, a cox and a family tree with 2 varieties on it red devil and golden delicious(I think)0
