 Help,
Ok brief as I can make it. Im 30 years old worked solidly for past 10 years have 4 credit cards (capital one, monument (yes I know) Lloyds and First Direct) 2 cataloges(both with jdwilliams group) and a loan.
Took out PPI policies on all of them. Got made redundant on 28th November (was and please don't laugh a motor claim handler)
Redundancy was fine sent of claim forms all ok. Then had to go into hospital 16th March. I had suffered with sporadic period problems since my teens on and off it got worse over past 18 months or so.
Had laparscopy and was finally diagnosed with endometreosis.
the problem I have is the JDW SCHEME which is with allianz
I sent them the medical report they requested which I had to pay £22 for my gp was very good and explained the fact that the condtition is very hard to diagnose etc etc - and was not pre existing they cant diagnose it without the op - i didn't know I had this and would need surgery/treatment when I took the policy out
they now want a further medical report and have sent a letter asking further questions so I am waiting to receive that and will have to pay another £22 on top of the last one - nasty when you are on benefits.
in the interim they are not making payments to my accounts
Any advice would be welcomed - feel like im banging my head against a wall

Sorry to hear of your health problems but it is good that you have some cover - most on here don't!
I find it very odd that you have had to pay for doctors notes - and I would complain to the insurers - surely they should deal direct with the doctors regarding fees etc and this should not concern you.
My advice start a formal complaint and ask this to be considered as urgent as you have paid premiums to cover situations just like this.
One last thing I am not really sure whether you should be claiming under the redundancy or medical part of the policy?
If your redundancy was not as a result of your illness then getting the Job centre to confirm that you are registered as looking for work would be simple and they should pay out??0 -
Hiya,
My redundancy was not as a result of my illness. The problem is that due to new rules at the jobcentre if you are unwell you have to sign off from jobseekers allowence to go onto employment and support allowence. When you do this it seems that insurers treat it as a disabilty claim.
Its a total nightmare I'm going to do as you suggest about the complaint thing and hope that gets me somewhere if not I'm wondering about going down the miselling route and reclaiming.
