                    Hi all,
Am soon due to pay the balance of a family holiday and wish to be covered by paying by credit card. However, there is a 3% charge for using a credit card from the holiday company. Am I right in thinking I could just pay 100.00 by credit card and the rest by cheque in order to receive the credit card protection should "anything go wrong"? Or do I have to pay the whole balance by credit card to be fully protected?. Cheers!

From what I have read its £100 or more, so say only pay that and you will get the CC protection.
I have paid my deposit by debit card as I completely forgot, I paid another £100 the next day by CC just to get the protection (was charged 2.5%). Any further payments I will just use my debit card to save on fees.
As far as I am aware Im covered for the whole cost of my holiday (until someone else tells me otherwise:o )Norn Iron club member - 2650
