The valuation has finally been done on the house we're buying!!!

We had our offer accepted 2 months ago so you can imagine how happy i am now that things are actually happening!!!

    Luckily not lol. The house had been on the market since last may so i guess they were desperate to sell. We had to switch mortgage people cos the original one was messing about

    It's 3 bed house for £98k and we're happy with the price. It was up for sale for £105k and it was previously up for higher but dont know how much

    well, going by houseprices.co.uk there have been no terraced houses sold in the road since 2004, but not sure if they would class ours as a semi as its an end terraced and all the houses in the road are in blocks of 4, 2 end terraced and 2 mid terraced?? Anyway, the last terraced one sold for £89k in 2004.

    The semi's were:

    May 08 £125K
    Aug 08 £128k
    Dec 06 £126k
    Nov 05 £100k
    Nov 04 £118k
    Oct 04 £109k

    Prices generally are back to 2004 levels, but it depends which part of the country you are in. Also, you'd expect variations of say £10k between similar houses of this type if one is done up and another one pretty dowdy. What does your survey say about valuation?
