Totally neglected this recently.
Since the weekend been feeling conflicted about spending money,
having too many want it now moments, not majorly giving in but
not able focus on the long term goal at all.
Juggling the budget to see the impact of sqeezing in another weekend away,
trying to work out if I really would stay in the rest of the month (no) and
working out if I go in may will I really then not go again in june.....
Still some things are looking up, have £12 of lunchon vouchers, will
use some in supermarket and some on a lunch or nice coffee over the bank holiday.
Saw another survey has landed this morning too. lets hope they keep coming.
Had a few more than 10p wins on the scratchies so will hit £10 on both this weekend.
But the clicking has been a bit pants this week, although my home net connection seems to have improved since a software upgrade. Need to sort a better routine.
Finally my rent is all sorted and new agents details have come through etc,
Will send off forms to council with letter this weekend, have done the online forms twice with no responce.....
Other good news is have paid back family loan this month, so dont feel any more guilt, the debt I have affects me, the bank and the ccard company and I wont lose sleep on their behalf. Owing money to just 2 places makes me feel much calmer and the overdraft
should be gone by the end of June.0 -
Thoroughly enjoyed using some of the lunchon vouchers, I savoured my overpriced coffee and enjoyed a pub lunch - helped break up the weekend.
Wasnt very MSE with my food shop, went to the slow food market on sunday and got a few bits(nice bread, cheese and fish), and then spent much of monday cooking to justify straying from the basics aisle.
Am running down a fair few items, but think will manage without a 'big shop' for rest of month.
Withdrew £20 from the free scratch accounts, had a 50p win too so that felt good.
Have made plans for the next bank holiday but am getting extreme trains so as to not need a room for the night.
Am doing a little better with the clicking but more effort required.0 -
Did the free credit report to get cashback today, annoying dosent let me enter enough addresses, I thought it would let me go back 3 years at least(i've moved too much), I'd have skipped a short term address if i'd known. So the house I lived in longest had a mortgage on etc dosent even get picked up as a linked address but the house I lived in as a kid and had no credit at is

Ah well, 4 late payments show up for barclaycard that I no longer use, 2 I knew about 2 I didnt . The 2 I know about are from my card being used fraudulently  The credit cards I do have show perfect history
Shows only 1 search in past 6months by virgin media. None for 3 (which pay 3x as much for) or a credit card I applied for (they needed proof of address, I didnt have anything so didnt respond, maybe the application didnt get that far).
So come July when I've been working 6 months and hopefully show up on electoral roll (have applied, had letter that says they wait for objections then I get added - never had that before) I'm hopeful that getting a 0% card will be possible.
Oh well 2 weeks til payday :beer:0 -
Didnt spend any money all weekend :j didnt leave the flat......
but still if thats what stops me spending, thats how weekends will be for now.
Not had much in they way of surveys recently, got mail about paypal rather than vouchers but I'll stick with vouchers for now, dont use paypal so cant see it be useful other than for spending when I shouldnt.
Ipoints are sending more emails through though, all the points sites seem to take a bloomin age to get anywhere.....still hopefully it'll pay off come xmas and save me some cash, eventually.
Still not a lot going on

Got a £50 voucher card through from comet :j its part of the deal I got when signing up for my broadband. Most of its going on a very late birthday pressie.0

Finally got my council tax banding through, its B, guessed it would be but was hoping for A. If only there were more places in the area to compare with I'd appeal but we're all new build in a previously non-residential area.
Its okay as its what I've budgeted for, just need to wait for the bill and account number so Ican sort out paying :rolleyes:0 -
Ooo and  another £12 from TCB just available, into the overdraft it goes

Have gone ahead and applied for a 0% card, not sure if it was a good idea or not, was planning to wait until July but felt impatient.

Going to get back to doing a few holiday reviews to get a couple of quid boost. Stopped when it went to outside UK only but have thought of a few other places visted to add.
TAB still being temprimental but had 25p on butlins last night so made up for it. Was probably caught up in the google traffic jam last night, all was like treacle for me.
Planning on a very quiet weekend, small food shop needed for fruit and breakfasts, may even attempt some baking for breakfasts
Have a couple of invites to go out next week and probably will, but will try and be very tight fisted :rotfl:0 -
Its a difficult road but you sound like youre going really well, I hope I do as well as you! Good luckTrying to shift that debt!0

Thanks, it isnt going as well as it could but this place helps keep me focused.
Have updated sig, few days early but all payments have gone out, have enough cash in purse for rest of week. So £698 paid off this month.
Wish the CC had gone down by that much but that went up almost as much as it went down  still as written before, family loan has gone.
Am expecting to need to pay 2 or 3 months council tax this month - once I get an account number and can start paying. Finally normal amount of rent and electricy DD starts, so am almost at a place where my budget is properly known.
Have 2 daytrips over the bank holiday and am hoping that entertainment will be virtually nothing after these.
Have a HEAP of cashback in confirmed state so hope that much of that will be payable this month, could make a nice dent in the overdraft.0
