Declined Life Insurance because of Boyfriends Heart problem.

Hi All!
This is my first post so bear with me!!!

I am in the process of buying my first house with my boyfriend, just waiting to complete. We applied for life insurance but have been declined because OH disclosed 'Tetralogy Fallot', thought they said on the letter they can insure him from May 2010!!!! So he rang and asked for what reason he can't be insured now and they said cos he may need another operation on his heart, which he knows but could be in 15 years time and isn't open heart surgery anymore. So he said well then how can you say you'll insure me from next year because I won't be having the op before then and the bloke couldn't give an answer.

So unsure what to do now.......don't want to be left uncovered. Don't know who would insure him???

Any help gratfully received!!!

    Consult an insurance broker.
Consider sole policies so that you can get cover now.

What does your IFA say about this (assuming your used one)? Have they phoned around the other insurers underwriters to get an opinion on what they would do?

If you havent used an IFA then its probably time you do.
