    oi you!!!

i'm pretty sure you should not be lifting the hoover so soon after a csection!!

leave the hoovering til Wayne comes home... with a bit of luck he'll do the whole lot, not just the lifting of the hoover!!!

CAT!!!!! Dont even think about lifting the hoover, its not about whether you think you can manage to lift it but the strain it is putting on your wound.

You dont want your insides to fall out on the carpet now do you, that would be a right mess to clean up:eek:

    Now put the hoover away!!!!

    Bother.

It's just that after he's vacuumed, I always want to do it again (or have him do it right in the first place). Evie has just woken up so I'm back to typing with one hand.

if you get any visitors today, ask them to do the hoovering for you....

wait til Evie's a bit older, you'll forget what colour your carpets are meant to be anyway!!!

Speaking of carpets, y'know my lovely new Xmastime stair carpet... it is a freaking nightmare for showing up dirt, we bought a red carpet cause we thought it would be hard wearing and not show stuff... forgetting that we have 2 white haired dogs, a white haired cat and a black haired cat... not to mention a child who trails allsorts in on her feet....

i honestly was hoovering the other day and i got to the top, parked the hoover away and walked downstairs.. had to do the bottom 3 steps again!!

wooden floor and pet hair means pet hair sticks to socks which sticks to nice stair carpet and AAAAAARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry, i dunno where that came from! ooops!

  • Hiya everyone,

Grey here again, I'm afraid. Oh well, at least it's not raining. Me and James are heading off to Robin Hood's Bay today so I'd better get a move on and get up soon.

I was wondering if you could help me though. I'm almost done with my 2nd year of uni ( ) and I'm starting to think about what to do for a career afterwards. After all my time on here, I've decided that what I want to do is help people to get out of debt. I originally thought of working for the CAB but I'm not so sure now. It sounds like it's mostly looking up information for people on the computer and relaying it back to them. I'd prefer a job where I could use my own initiative a bit more. In a perfect world, I would want to do essentially what I can do on here (look at people's SOAs, help them find ways to reduce their outgoings, increase their income and support them as they get debt free) but on a 1 on 1 basis and get paid for it. :) I'm guessing my perfect job doesn't exist, otherwise a lot of people on here would be doing it and I would've heard about it by now. But what would be the closest real-world equivalent to that job?

    Hope you can help.

i suppose the trouble with that ideal is that people don't get paid for giving out that kinda advice as a) it's generally charities who do it b) people in debt can't afford to pay for the help due to debt. and there are free charities out there to help....

    Vicious circle hun...

Check out IA's (immoral angel) diary and see if you can gt advice from her, she is doing CAB work now and i'm sure she'd be willing to advise properly on the CAB role, it might be more than you're thinking.... although i dunno what the career path is like....?

  • Yeah, that's what I'd noticed as well. I guess the best plan would be to work for one of the debt charities that gives the advice. I've been looking at CCCS but the only problem is that their main office is in Leeds and my boyfriend is going to be in London for another 3 years. So it would be great 3 years down the line, when I'm planning on moving back up north again but not really in the meantime as neither of us wants to be having a long-distance relationship for that length of time.
