Roofline quote

Hi - I'm in the East Midlands and plan to replace fascia, soffit, bargeboards and guttering this Spring.

I guess its more difficult to assess this than the windows in my previous post.

I reckon there's about 70 metres of roofline with a mixture of fascia and bargeboard. The best quote is about £60 per metre for brown plastic, replacing and disposing of all the existing wood and plastic guttering, so it comes to £4250.

I'd be grateful for any comments on whether this is a good price, the firm is a fairly large local one.

Many thanks

  • that sounds about right to me as long as the product they are using is either swish or homeline

  • Thanks for that.

The type of materials isn't specified, I'll look into it and check the specs at the next stage.

Your sig suggests you are a windows professional. Do you have a view on the windows quote I posted?

    Thanks

One of our clients was quoted by one of the big players (named after a large mountain???) about the same size £22,000.......... yours sounds better, but shop around. There are also a few threads about removing old wood that is sound as it offers the new pvc a more solid base.
