ICSTIS Incompetant and ineffectual.

The following is the text of email to ICSTIS the premium rate regulator. I'm cross with them because they are not taking any action against E7broadband who are taking money from people for a freephone telephone technical support contract which doesn't actually provide tecnical support but uses ICSTIS regulations (dishonestly) as the reason for the inability to actually provide the service they have accepted my money to provide.
I wish to formally draw your attention to the way E7Broadband are using ICSTIS in their Technical support contract scam.
You will see from the details below that this is still an active scam as these contracts are still being offered to those unable to afford the £1 a minute tecnical support.
Anyone taking up this option is given the number 0800 001 5578 to use in place of the 09056241150 number however when dialed this number does not produce any technical support simply two options, the first to leave a message, the second to hold for a technical support operator.
However as soon as option 2 is selected a message advising that DUE TO ICSTIS regulations they are unable put calls to this number on "HOLD" and that a message must be left. (but not if a previous message regarding the same matter has already been left)
As far as I am aware ICSTIS do not regulate 0800 numbers and therefore this message is factually inaccurate.
I do not think that a reputable organisation such as ICSTIS should allow it's name to be used as part of a scam relating to 09056 numbers.
I would be pleased if you could act immediately to insist that your organisation is not party to this scam. If this means taking out a legal injunction against E7broadband to stop using your name to oblige people to use the 09056 number than I trust you will do so immediately.
The current situation in which it appears ICSTIS is happy to allow 09056 number providers to invoke their ICTIS regulations in support of scam services is is untenable and I trust you will be able to report back to me within 48 hrs that you have taken action to end this abuse of your name and regulations.
Your sincerely
E. C. Hutchinson.
PS
I have tried to contact E7broadband myself in order to CANCEL my contract, OBTAIN a MAC code and REFUND of remaining subscription but none of my letters, emails, technical support tickets, telephone messages have been replied to.
When you are able to contact this company, your assistance in passing on a message regarding username swabymanor@e7broadband.com and my request for a MAC code would be appreciated.

From the sound of it the 0800 number directs to the 090 number and that is why the msg about not be not being allowed to use hold appears.
What are hte cannellation terms of your contract with E7broadband?
If you can give them written notice of cancellation, then do so, cancel your DD to prevent further billing. If they owe you money you can contact your bank and try and reclaim the money through the DD gaurantee. If you are using a credit card then try the same with the credit card company.
If these options don't work then all you can really try is what you have tried, writing, calling, and emailing them to get your money. Your other option is perhaps court action against them if you have sufficient evidence to mount a court case. Perhaps you could discuss this with your lawyer/CAB.
