If you dont get interview for a while can you use your bank account

You shouldn't - you will usually either hear from the OR or their clerk the same day you go BR, or very soon after and they will tell you which account you can use. So take enough cash out before BR to keep you going in case you don't hear for a little while.

Thanks for all these! made me laugh re the offers of the loans because before BR me and OH wouold argue about who not answering phone now argue about who does to advise re BR!!! Thing that makes me laugh is all the calls are about selling us loans..tell them about BR and they off the phone!!!
suppose we just have to wait...
one question though before BR arranged to have salaries paid into daughters unused account and in process of opening cashminder but do we have to account for any of that money until they contact us??
Really appreciate this forum, gone through each stage from thinking of BR to forms to this...Nice to know not on our ownx

Hi you ususally get a call within 24 hours of your case being made.Your Interview normally is within 15 working days. With regards to your bank accounts, your allowed to keep one open that you need for normal day to day living expenses(you get the chance to tick which one you want on your SOA. The OR can request this account is kept open, but ultimatley it's up to the bank whether they choose to do business with you. However you can no longer use any credit overdraft facilities, so for this reason it's best to just use a basic account.Just tell the case officer what arrangements you've made for your wages when they call you.Good luck and don't worry.

    Hi everyone,
can anyone tell me what the OR asks in the interview. How much detail etc. Do they try and trip you up or is it quite straight forward?

    hi pmg

no they wont try and trip u up
    it is usually very straightforward
    they go through your SOA
and sometimes dont even do that

the best advice for your interview
    is dont waffle
    answer questions that are asked
    and dont voulenteer any info

if they miss anything they will come back
    and ask you

I think we probably spoke to the same clerk given we're under the same OR - we were told exactly the same thing! And I'm yet to hear about the interview too.

It *could* happen quite quickly though - my friend who also went BR the Friday before we went, in the same court as me, had his phone interview on Wednesday so it may well be early next week. But I guess these things are never certain are they.

Be good if it was, I just want to know what's going to happen with my stuff!!! My friend was asked for a year's worth of statements and apparently the OR was really easy going.

They actually called today and we have our telephone interviews booked for 12th May.

So just over a month for us, on the plus side the OR seemed nice and said not to worry, if we have any questions we can call them up anytime.
