I'd like to run a sense on all MSE users to poll on whether we should now be having a reduction in the 240 secs time lag we currently have between Private Messaging, please?

I think the general opinion would probably be that it's about time we had the time lag reduced or eliminated altogether

I understand there probably was a valid reason for the introduction of it, but I also think it should now be up for reviewing

I would suggest that this would be classed as an improvement to the forum if it was changed

UPDATE: Thanks to Martin and the technical team, the time between posting PM's has now been reduced to 60 seconds, Thank You :)

    Voted. :D

I understand the reason behind the lag too. It can be soooooo frustrating at times though. I would also like to be able to send a pm to more than one person at once again, purrrrdy please. :T

I remember there was good reason, but still think we should request the review

I'm sure someone from 'The Big MSE Tower' will comment at some point ;)

Yes, a shorter time between PMs and maybe the ability to send a PM to at least 2 or 3 people at one time? Maybe a compromise somewhere, many thanks. :)

Where's the option for longer time between messages?

Poor form rigging a poll for a favourable outcome. :)

Reducing to 2 minutes instead of 4 would still deter spammers and make life a bit easier for us. Sometimes I have PM conversations with two users at a time, and it can get quite irritating.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.
