Replacing my PC tomorrow and it will have Vista. Have used AVG and Zonealarm over the past few years and have had no issue. Was therefore planning to download them again on the new PC. Still ok to do so? No alternative recommendations. Have Sky broadband/router so if I understand right that gives additional layer of secuity?

I would recommend Avira http://www.free-av.com/en/download/index.html with pctools firewall(deselect threatfire) or Comodo (deselect the toolbar its unneeded) or just the plain windows firewall.
Use Firefox instead of internet explorer if you don't already.
Comodo also comes with a Antivirus you can use that antivirus or deselect it during the install. Never have more than one anitivirus installed.
Make sure to install all the updates when you get it and update your Java, Adobe Flash player and Adobe Acrobat.0 -
AVG is awful
Id go with Avira too:idea:0 -
I think ZA is still ok, but agree re AVG, swap for Avira...0
