What sort of returns do you expect/ received?

I know the stock market is not performing well at the moment. But over a long period of 10 to 15 years what sort of returns do you expect on your investment (in percentage terms per year) on average?

Also what sort of return have all you seasoned investors received over the last 10 to 15 years gone (on average)?

If you take inflation into account or what they could have got by just keeping their money in a savings account then arguably a lot more.

Of course, looking right after a market crash will always look terrible for investments. However, give it another 2 or 3 years and you'll have a different story altogether.

My personal goal is to achieve annualised returns of 10% or more over the next 10-15 years. If I can get more, great, if I can't, never mind.
