Curtains, where to buy?

Options
Hi everybody
My tenant has just moved out of one of my houses and I've never seen anything so disgusting in all of my life.
Spent all weekend cleaning/painting/repairing, Saturday night I was ill from breathing in all the cleaning product fumes all day. The carpets are in a right state too, hopefully they'll clean up if i get the carpet cleaning man in.
Anyway, it's looking loads better now.

My question is, does anyone know where to get any cheap curtains from? I've been to Matalan, but no luck, any thoughts anyone?
Hope to hear from you, kind regards
Alex

Do you have a Rosebys? They seem to be reasonable quality and good prices. Argos and Additions also do limited ranges at reasonable prices if you are not too fussed about seeing before you buy.

We let out a flat for a few years. I think we only had one decent ie. clean tenant in that time. Cigareete burns in the carpet and on kitchen worksurfaces were the worst!

    Good luck.
  • Some people are animals, they have no respect! There is shop in Highgate (London) that sells very nice second hand curtains. You can also try Ebay.

It's be a good idea to add condition to future tennancy agreement that the tennant pays for professional cleaning to a value of £xxx if the property is not left clean, to your satisfaction.

I have had some great curtain bargains from my local charity shop. I also got some on line once from a place called "curtains2go". They will send you free samples of fabric so you can check colour/quality and are very quick on delivery. Some other on line curtain shops charge 50p per sample.
    Hope this helps.

If you need extra long curtains, IKEA's standard size is 300cm x 145cm. Cheapest voiles are from £3.99 pr, unbleached cotton £11.99 and linen £34.90 pr
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.
  • Ponden Mills shops usually have a good range of cheap curtains, or how about ebay?
